28th May – 12th June 2016

Purbeck Art Weeks (PAW) Festival is getting closer! This is a great opportunity to wander around artists’ studios, talk to artists about their work and what inspires them, enjoy what you see, perhaps buy what you love, enter the PAW competition for a work of art of your choice, have fun with ‘arty selfies’ and visit Rollington Barn for refreshments and more art. Find a copy of our Brochure and get planning!

Alongside this feast of visual arts is a mouth-watering programme of events – with an internationally and locally acclaimed line up of musicians, writers and historians.  You will need to book tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.  More information can be found here or in our Events Programme (£1) from Tourist Information Offices in Wareham and Swanage and elsewhere.

Come and see what young people have been creating on the Midsummer Dreams theme in school workshops across Purbeck.  This year shops and businesses are involved – so look out for the ‘We Support PAW’ posters in participating shops and support them by voting on-line for your favourite Midsummer Dreams window display!

The Festival’s opening event is on Friday May 27th on Swanage sea front. BBC South and Radio Solent are joining us and will be there all afternoon from 1.00 – 7.00pm.  Please come and enjoy the festivities and fun, with music and dancing from 4.00pm, and the unveiling of the Swirling Fish ceramic installation at 6.45pm!
