MAY 28 – JUNE 12.

Plans are well underway. Our artists are at work.  Every year the Festival selects a theme from ideas put forward by its members – the chosen theme for 2016 is ‘Midsummer Dreams’.  How delightful to be thinking over the winter, about summer light, a relaxing figure, Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary, moonlit landscapes, dreams of the future, or anything else that the theme conjures up.

You can start looking forward to a great summer next year: wandering around artist’s studios, talking to artists about their work and what inspires them, enjoying what you see, perhaps buying what you love, winning the PAW competition for a work of art of your choice, and visiting Rollington Barn for refreshments and more art.  Local Galleries will also be involved.

PAW is a full arts Festival offering a fascinating programme of music and events to complement the visual arts (for more see under Events). The exciting and imaginative programme that is coming in 2016 is the stuff of dreams indeed.

We are always keen to involve young artists, and our workshops in Purbeck schools take place early in 2016.  We will also involve them in our community works of art and look forward to shoals of ceramic fish appearing somewhere in Swanage!

In the meantime we hope you enjoy exploring our website.
